Sharing with people
Voke. Make circles with anyone who uses Voke. For each category (sleep, heart, activity and others) you choose scores only, daily totals or full detail for the whole circle. There’s no limit on circles or members. Body measurements and heart rhythm events are never shared.
Google Health app. Friends and family can see your name, email, photo and your weekly step count or cardio load, which you can turn on or off. 1 Google says fuller sharing with friends, family and doctors is coming later. 2
Apple Health. Share any Health data you choose with up to five people, who also see your health notifications. Needs iOS 15 or later, iCloud with Health turned on and two-factor authentication. 3
Oura. Circles share your Readiness, Sleep and Activity scores as daily scores or weekly averages. Up to 10 circles of 20 members each. Everyone needs an Oura ring and an active membership. 4
WHOOP. Teams show members’ Strain, Recovery and Sleep. The team owner chooses which metrics are shared. 5
AI, and using your own AI
Voke. Ask Voke is a simple chat that answers from your data, and a morning summary arrives after each night. Both are free during the beta. You can also connect your own AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other MCP apps) with read-only access to the categories you pick. Your AI can read people in your circles only where they allow it.
Google Health app. Google Health Coach, built with Gemini, comes with Google Health Premium, for people 18 and over in select countries. 67 Google’s developer API is open to new projects only after a review, and Google says it isn’t onboarding new projects right now. 8
Apple Health. Apple announced Apple Intelligence features for the Health app in September 2026, including an Insights tab and recommendations, arriving later this year in US English first. 9 Several AI apps can read Apple Health on your iPhone with your permission: Claude, in beta for Pro and Max subscribers in the US 10, and ChatGPT Health in the US. 11
Oura. Oura Advisor is included with membership and needs a Gen3 ring or later. 1213 Oura has a public API, but no official connector for AI apps that we could find.
WHOOP. WHOOP Coach is built on OpenAI models. WHOOP says OpenAI keeps no data from it and doesn’t train on it. 14 WHOOP has an official developer API. 15
Where the data comes from
Voke. Reads Apple Health, which includes Apple Watch and apps that write to it, and Google Health, which includes Fitbit and Pixel Watch. Direct connections to Oura, WHOOP and Garmin are planned; until then, their data reaches Voke through Apple Health. Voke doesn’t make hardware.
Google Health app. Fitbit and Pixel Watch, smart scales, medical records in the US, Health Connect and Apple Health, plus apps that use the Google Health API. 16 Google Health Premium requires a Fitbit or Pixel Watch. 17
Apple Health. iPhone, Apple Watch and third-party apps that you allow through HealthKit. 18
Oura. The Oura ring, plus Apple Health, Health Connect and partner apps. 19
WHOOP. WHOOP’s own band, plus Apple Health and Health Connect. 20
Price
Voke. Free during the beta. It works with the devices you already have.
Google Health app. The app is free. Google Health Premium is $9.99 a month or $99 a year, and is included with Google AI Pro and Ultra. 6 Fitbit Air costs $99 and includes three months of Premium. 2
Apple Health. Free, built into iPhone. 18
Oura. Membership is $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year (CA$7.99 or CA$89.99). 13 Oura Ring 4 starts at $349. 21
WHOOP. Memberships include the band: One is $199 a year, Peak $239 a year and Life $359 a year. 22
Prices are in US dollars unless marked, before tax.
Privacy and encryption
Voke. Your health data is encrypted with a key that belongs to your account, and stored in Canada. Voke’s server decrypts it to work, so it isn’t end-to-end encrypted. Ask Voke uses AI providers with zero data retention. Deleting your account destroys your key, so within 7 days your data can’t be read anywhere, including backups. No ads, no selling data. Privacy overview
Google Health app. Data is always encrypted between devices and Google’s servers, and health data isn’t used for Google ads. 23 Coach conversations are used to train models only if you opt into research. 7
Apple Health. Health data in iCloud is end-to-end encrypted, so Apple can’t read it. 2418
Oura. Encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256, with SOC 2 and HITRUST certifications. Oura says it doesn’t sell health data or share it with third-party AI models, and may use it to improve its own AI. 25
WHOOP. Encrypted in transit and at rest. WHOOP says it never sells members’ personal data and trains its models only on aggregated or de-identified data. 26
Where others do more
- Apple Health encrypts Health data end to end in iCloud. Voke doesn’t. 24
- Oura and WHOOP make their own hardware, built for sleep and recovery. Voke relies on yours.
- Oura holds SOC 2 and HITRUST certifications. 25 Voke has none yet.
- Google Health and Apple Health connect to medical records in the US. 1618 Voke doesn’t.
- Every one of these apps has been around longer than Voke, which is in beta.
