A Garmin Connect alternative for your sleep and recovery

Garmin Connect writes your workouts, sleep and heart rate to Apple Health, and Voke reads them. Share your nights with circles and ask questions of your own data.

Your Garmin watch syncs to Garmin Connect, and Garmin Connect can write to Apple Health. Voke reads Apple Health. Keep training with your Garmin, and see your nights, days and workouts in Voke.

How your Garmin data reaches Voke

In Garmin Connect, turn on Apple Health in the app’s settings. Then in Voke, open your account, then Sources, and add Apple Health.

Garmin Connect writes to Apple Health:

  • Workouts, your recorded activities.
  • Sleep, with its stages.
  • Heart rate.
  • Steps, distance and flights climbed.
  • Active calories.
  • Weight and body fat, from a Garmin scale.

Garmin Connect sends new data to Apple Health while the app is open, so open it after a run or in the morning. Voke reads each of them.

Each workout, minute by minute

Voke shows each workout’s heart rate, pace and elevation on one time axis, with a reading for every minute. You also get the route, time in each heart rate zone and kilometre splits. The route is drawn on your iPhone and stays there.

An evening run of 6.21 km: the route on a map, heart rate, pace and elevation minute by minute, heart rate zones and splits.

Your day on one timeline

The Feed lays out each day in order: last night, the morning run, an afternoon nap, an evening walk. Each night gets a sleep score, with your sleep debt from the last 14 nights.

Wear a ring to bed as well? Voke counts each night once and fills gaps from the other device.

Share your nights as well as your runs

In Garmin Connect, people share their activities, and Connect+ adds LiveTrack alerts for friends and family.

In Voke, you make circles for family, a partner or a training group. For each category, such as sleep, heart, activity and workouts, you choose what each circle sees: scores only, daily totals, or everything with charts. A training group can see only your workouts while your family sees how you slept. How to share without oversharing walks through it.

Ask about your data

Ask Voke is a chat that answers from your data. Ask “how did my sleep change in the week before the race?” and get a straight answer, with the numbers behind it. After each night, a short morning summary points out what stands out.

You can also connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another MCP app, and choose which categories it can read. Use any AI assistant with your health data shows how.

Encrypted end to end

Voke uses post-quantum end-to-end encryption. Your key is made on your iPhone and stored in iCloud Keychain. Voke cannot read the health data it stores. Who can see your health data in Voke has the detail.

Price

Voke is $11.99 a month, or $114.99 a year, with a one-week free trial. One plan covers everything: circles, Ask Voke, the morning summary and connecting your own AI. See pricing.
