Claude is good at spotting patterns and explaining them in plain words. Give it your real nights and workouts, and “why am I so tired on Thursdays?” stops being a guessing game.
Connect Claude to Voke and it can read your sleep, heart rate and workouts from Apple Health and from Google Health, which is where your Fitbit or Pixel Watch data lives. It takes about five minutes. Here’s how to set it up, what Claude can see, and how to turn it off.
What you can ask Claude
Once Voke is connected, ask the way you’d ask a friend who can see your data:
- “Give me a plain summary of today: sleep, activity, anything that stands out.”
- “Compare my sleep this week with last week, night by night.”
- “When did my heart rate peak on Saturday’s ride, and for how long?”
- “Has my resting heart rate gone up or down this month?”
- “Which of my workouts this month were hardest, going by heart rate?”
Claude can also read your Voke journal if you switch it on, so “do late meals change my deep sleep?” gets an answer from your own tagged days.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- Voke on your iPhone, with Apple Health or Google Health connected under Sources.
- “Use AI features” turned on in your Voke account.
- A Claude account. Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Free can add one, and on Team and Enterprise an owner adds it for everyone first (Anthropic).
You add the connector in Claude on the web or in Claude Desktop. Keep your phone nearby to approve it.
Step 1: Copy Voke’s address
In Voke, open the AI tab, tap the settings button, and choose Claude under AI apps. Voke shows the steps for Claude, with a button to copy Voke’s address:
https://mcp.voke.co/mcp
Step 2: Add Voke as a connector in Claude
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors (claude.ai/customize/connectors). Voke’s Open claude.ai button takes you straight there.
- Choose Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Voke, paste the address and choose Continue.
- If Claude asks when to sign in, choose Sign in now, then choose Add.
Anthropic moves these menus now and then. Its own guide, getting started with custom connectors, always has the current path.
Step 3: Approve on your phone
Claude opens a Voke page with a QR code and a 6-letter code. Scan the QR code with your iPhone camera, or tap Enter a code in Voke and type it in.
Voke then asks “Connect Claude?” with a switch for each kind of data Claude asked for. Turn off anything you’d rather keep to yourself, then tap Allow.
The page lapses after 10 minutes. If it does, start again from Claude.
Step 4: Say hello
Back in Voke, the Claude steps now include a short first message to send. It asks Claude for a plain summary of your day, using only the numbers Voke returns. Tap Open a chat to start a new Claude chat with it filled in, or copy it.
In any chat, you can check Voke is turned on with the + button, under Connectors.
What Claude can and can’t see
- Claude can read, and nothing else. It can’t add, change or delete anything in Voke.
- Only what you switched on. Turn off heart, and Claude can’t read your heart data at all.
- A month at a time. Each request covers up to 31 days, or 14 days of minute-by-minute data. Claude asks again for earlier stretches when it needs them.
- Other people only with their permission. If someone shares with you in a circle, you can let Claude include them, but it only sees what they’ve let your AI see. Sharing health data without oversharing explains how.
Anthropic says it doesn’t train its models on raw content from connectors like Voke, unless you copy it into a chat yourself (Anthropic). Once Claude reads something, a copy sits in that chat under Anthropic’s terms. Delete the chat in Claude if you want it gone.
Claude’s own Apple Health connection
In the US, Claude’s iPhone app can also read Apple Health directly. It’s in beta for Pro and Max plans (Anthropic). Voke works on any Claude plan, brings in Fitbit and Pixel Watch data through Google Health alongside your Apple Watch, and can include people who share with you, with their permission.
How to disconnect Claude
- Straight after connecting, press and hold the notification Voke sends and tap Disconnect.
- Any time, open AI apps in Voke and tap Disconnect next to Claude. Its access ends on its next request.
- Everything at once, turn off “Use AI features” in your Voke account.
You can also remove the connector in Claude, under Customize, then Connectors. That tidies up Claude’s side, but disconnecting in Voke is what ends the access. A connection lasts 90 days, then Claude asks you to approve it again.
